  1. I KNOW losing Stammer hurts…but JBB did what was best for the future of this franchise. Moser and Guentzel will keep this team in the hunt for YEARS. Moser is a real under-rated player in the deals that JBB made. MUCH better defensive defenseman than Sergy. Also cleared cap space that will be very useful in the future. JBB will get crapped on by the casuals…but he did one helluva job to keep this team competitive for YEARS to come.

  2. Hard to predict. People expecting a lot of players to get better. I still say that if Guentzel doesn’t get of to a fast start and produces on the PP things will get ugly with people booing and chanting of we want Stamkos. Don’t condone it but that s how fans are especially that they lost one of there favorite players. The team has to play a full 60 mins with intensity and not start slow or take the 2nd period off. Going to be a dog fight to make the playoffs. All the teams around us have gotten better. All our stars will have to stay healthy or season over.

  3. Hopefully Point will step up this year, last year beginning was rough. Fans and NHL media HAVE to give Guentzel a chance. Steven moved on and fanbase has to also. All new guys have to be made welcome so they give us their best and want to play hard for a cup contention again.

  4. Ideal line up, if I were JBB
Farabee would probably cost another 1st rounder

    Guentzel Point Kucherov
    Farabee or Hoffman Cirelli Hagel
    Atkinson Paul Essymont
    Howard Geekie Chafee (kid line)

    Hedman Raddysh
    Mcdonagh Cernak
    Moser Justin Schultz

    Vasilevsky

  5. My prediction for the starting lineup next year.

    If Geekie is NHL ready

    Kucherov – Point – Cirelli
    Hagel – Geekie – Guentzel
    Eyssimont – Paul – Atkinson
    Girgensons – Glendening – Chaffee

    If Geekie is not

    Kucherov – Point – Hagel
    Sheary- Cirelli – Guentzel
    Eyssimont – Paul – Atkinson
    Girgensons – Glendening – Chaffee

Try to get Conor Sheary going by making him play with Guentzel like he used to in Pittsburgh.

Aside from Geekie, Goncalves and Groshev could also fight for a place in the Lightning lineup this year and could make it. First offseason games will be interesting to watch
