I have no idea about the truth of the report, if it’s a leak or a half truth or just made up. But IF SKA made an appeal to Carolina to terminate his contract for the purposes of allowing him to return to Russia to play, Carolina would presumably want something in return, and we all know exactly what that thing is. You scratch my back by terminating one guy a year early and we’ll do the same for you. Is that what happened? Did anything happen? Did it leak early before a VERY complicated situation resolved fully? Who knows. This has sure suddenly made July interesting though.
