  1. The curse of 1988 will dominate in perpetuity. Doesn’t matter who you sign, how many 1st overall pics you are gifted, no matter how many points you put up in the regular season. You will never win the cup again. Need I remind you of the events a few weeks ago. Oh so close, tough luck Edmonton.

  2. am stoked for J Skinner! he s been stuck on such a bottom feeder }} Fluff a lo }} for way too long! MCleod for Savoie is a steal! but…. the Perry Monster again? Bad luck..

  3. Why Skinner is a 1 year deal then gone, Arvidddon is a 2 year deal then gone, and don’t kid yourself , the oilers are not in a position to match an offer sheet, Broberg will cost team a 2nd round pick, Holloway will cost a team a 2nd round pick, the best the oilers can offer is 2-2.5 million, I will definitely give these guys 3-4 million 5 year deal, for a 2nd round pick, no brainer, let’s see what happens ???????? 😅

  4. Kane isn't going anywhere, neither is Nurse. I think the solution will be Kane on LTIR (pull a Vegas). I suspect Ceci will be punted before the season starts.

  5. kane was huge for edmonton in the playoffs especially in the vancouver series. the money might not make sense tho

  6. Woah woah woah… If your bottom 6 is

    Janmark-Henrique-Savoie
    Brown-Ryan-Perry

Than where is one of: Mcdavid, Hyman, Draisital, RNH, Skinner, Ardvidsson, Holloway? I understand the narrative around trading Kane I don’t think they’re gonna do that, I think it’ll likely be Ceci, so you can add Kane to that list too.

  7. In regards to Evander Kane, the Oilers have 3 primary options, including; a) Provided that he waives his no movement clause in his contract, the Oilers could trade him for someone else (making a lot less money) or a draft pick(s). b) Depending on what happens with his ongoing sport's hernia, Kane could return to play in the regular season/playoffs, or, c) If he needs a delicate operation (probably in late August) and needs a considerable amount of time to recover, he could be placed on LTIR which in turn would free up over 5 million dollars in cap space. Then, if this should be the case, the Oilers would be able to re-sign players such as Dylan Holloway while at the same time being cap compliant. Problem solved.

  8. Biased media, oilers haven't made that much improvement theyre goalies still in net …again his soft goal lost a game 7 cup to the panthers…there d isn't solid good luck with nurse

  9. Kane has a no movement clause. That is pertinent to this discussion.

Savoie playing in the middle six makes no sense. Do better.

  10. I think you forgot about Skinner after you didn't put him on the second line lol.

Lavoie was signed to a 2-way deal 3 days ago.

  11. Made mock lines and didn’t even put Skinner in the line up lmao.

    Skinner-McDavid-Hyman
    Kane-Draisaitl-Ardvisson
    Nuge-Henrique-Holloway
    Janmark-Ryan-Brown

Nuge and Skinner could be flipped. The whole top 9 could be put in a blender and you’d still have 3 really solid lines. Great to see this kind of depth

  12. skinner wont be on a stacked power play
also kane doesnt fit in the playoffs is silly, the man could not sit on the bench due to pain
he fits, hes just expensive and can be replaced by cheaper, younger players
and nurse cant go anywhere if the oilers want to keep 29 and 97 longterm

  13. Forgot Skinner in mock lines haha. I think the Oilers go with:

Skinner – McDavid – Hyman (Skinner gives McDavid a pure sniper option, while Hyman provides the power forward option, both of which are proven to have the most success paired with McDavid)

RNH – Draisaitl – Arvidsson (essentially the spiritual successor to the line with Yamamoto only Arvidsson is the same player as Yams just 2x better at least)

Kane/Holloway – Henrique – Perry/Savoie (this is either the grinder line with Perry in, or it's legitimately a 1st line on the Ducks with Savoie in. Depends on which type of style the team wants. Also depends on Kane's health on whether or not Holloway is here or 4C)

Fourth line is Janmark – Ryan/Holloway – Brown (you absolutely keep janmark and Brown together, and then whoever for 4C between Ryan and some of the Bakersfield prospects)

Defense you nailed though. Ceci probably traded and Brown as the 3RD. Or kulak traded, Broberg 3LD, and we go another regular season with Nurse – Ceci til TDL
