I think Raymond is going to become the superstar we needed in those shitty year drafts. Not to knock Mo…but I’m talking offensive superstar. Raymond has literally saved the season like five times. Tonight, the Pittsburgh game, the Columbus game, and I’m sure there are at least two others. I’m SO glad he’s a Wing !!!

The officiating was absolutely atrocious tonight!! So glad we had what it took to win it and not taking anything away from Raymond not getting hurt or taken off his game after that. But that was such a HORRIBLE missed or flat out non-call from the ref who was again, looking right at it! Screw the refs again!! 😤🤬🤬
The Detroit-Montreal series this season: Game1: 2-3 loss/OT, Game2: 5-4 win/OT, Game3: 5-4 win/OT, and Game4: undecided. These Detroit-Montreal games are sooo close.

Haven't seen a Wings game like that in years. We still need some strong play tonight and have to root for the Flyers to win over Washington as well… Raymond and Seider matching 8X8 deals in the off-season hopefully.
Best game I've watched all year. The atmosphere in that building was INSANE! If we could play D consistently we'd be really dangerous in the playoffs.

As the game didn't start until 12am in the UK I am currently running on no sleep at work.. I almost nodded off but cat scoring to make it a one goal game woke me up.. then by the time Raymond scored the ot winner I was that wired with no prospect of nodding off and the alarm call at 6am not far away… I now have to stay up tonight to watch the biggest game in years.. looking forward to it #letsgowings
Really didn't think anyway they could win. The way their golie was playing and the blocked shots was impressive.

Raymond is still growing into his body I believe he can be a 40 goal scorer as he gains more experience

Part of me hopes that we lose tonight so the guys will take the pain and turn it into something positive for next season. Even if we get into the playoffs, we're unlikely to get out of the first round. So I'd rather build for next season and the one after that.
The fact is we don't have elite goal tending. We have average goalies who have had great stretches (Lyon). Consequently, team D is vital to win games. When the Wings play great D and can capitalize on the other teams mistakes they win games. Easier said than done, but the tenders are who they are so if the team plays like shit in front of them and doesn't press the play you get the first 40 min of last night's game. We have seen it all season long from these guys.
If they have another slow start and have to pull another rabbit out of their hats tonight I don't think they deserve a playoff spot even if the Caps lose. That said, I would still really enjoy watching DRW hockey beyond tonight so LGRW.

Happy birthday Scotty. The Caps will win or the Wings will lose tonight. It is the plight of all four professional Detroit teams. The Tigers are pathetic, the Pistons absolutely pathetic, the Lions horrible for decades and will come back to earth this coming season after 2023. The Wings always seem close but can't quite get there. If the Caps do lose tonite, you can count on the Wings losing also. Having said that, this season was a very good one considering their shortcomings. Definitely need a strong goaltender for next season.
Obviously Raymond and compher are difference makers. But players who are on the bubble next year stepped up. Considering individual performances like Fisher and Shayne….and the invisiblity of others who are paid….will there need to be blockbuster moves to keep us strong next year and pay no and raymond

I've been critical of the way the Wings have played over the last quarter of the season, but I have to give the boys credit for the heart they showed in the third period yesterday. It would have been easy for them to fold after being 3 goals down, but to their credit they gave it their all in the third. I only wish some of that heart and passion would have showed up earlier against teams like Washington.
A couple weeks ago I would have said Kane was willing them to the playoffs on his own. Now I think it’s Raymond haha

I would like to see a game where the goalie steps up, every goal post or cross bar shot goes in, the referee makes the right calls and do not effect the flow of the game- like after the opponents cross check Raymond multiple times and rip off his helmet , Detroit does not pass it or give it away to the other team, and the other team has no luck. Did Montreal have great passing and shooting plays like Detroit? ?? Most of their goals were bouncing pucks and luck. Come on when Edvinson passes the puck and it deflects right out to the slot! COME ON. Can the wings have some of that luck.
