How soon can Aatu Räty be in North America now that his season is over?
With a 1-0 loss in Game 7 Jukurit’s season is over. Naturally, the question on every New York Islanders fans mind is: “When can we see him in North America?”
Should Bridgeport be eliminated, and the Isles find themselves totally out of contention with the caps, do you think there's a shot they give him the 2-3 NHL games left after bridgeport's season comes to a close?
What are the chances he gets travel advice from Robin Salo and with no true openings on the Island for full time employment for at least a year he decides to re-sign and stay in Liiga. Unless Lou does something drastic he is no higher than 5th on the C depth chart, and maybe a little deeper on the wing. Lou likes to let his prospects marinade, and he'd probably be better off doing that for another year where he doesn't have to compete for ice time with 22YO+ vets. I want to see him in NA as much as any Isles fan, but it may not be the best thing… especially if they sign Iskhakov.
I'm trying not to get too excited but it seems like Räty has a huge upside. If he pays off, do you expect him to join the big show in the 2023-24 season or perhaps sooner?
Aatu Räty wont be chosen to the World Championships trust me. I am from Finland and I know how the coach Jukka Jalonen operates. He trusts his guys that have played for him before and Räty wont make the team.

I've been saying since day 1 he is Neo from Matrix lol .He s the one
It's possible for him to play at the Worlds even if he comes over here, provided Bridgeport doesn't go on a playoff run

I don’t consider Bellows a prospect anymore. He’s a project imo.
He will be playing on April 22nd most likely the Bridgeport team just called him up 👍
Glad to find you finally! Miss the podcasts!
