OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the NHL’s “inside the draft” video that they released on their YouTube channel yesterday.. There was some very “feels good” moments in this video from Montreal Canadiens 21st overall pick Michael Hage.. Not only did the Habs pick him.. But he WANTED to be picked.. He wanted to be a Montreal Canadien and guess what? He got his wish. I want this kid to be a star.
The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,
Let me know whatcha think of this one down in the comment section!

I gotta good feeling about the habs
Can't help but root for this guy. What an amazing story.
I hope for a healthy season
You gotta love it when a kid is chosen by his chosen team! I hope this kid excels, I think the Canadiens future is bright!
i wonder if all the brutality we are puting into that like button is the reason for so many injury plagued seasons?
Someone must be cutting onions.
Lol im in the opposite camp, I think they picked him for his skin color, but lets see 🙂
From Grasshopper to Gamer. Wouldn't that be Awesome!?
Hope this kids career progresses nicely. Glad he got selected by his childhood team.
As for Shane Wright, I don't think he wanted to be Hab so much as he wanted to be first.
Being born here in MTL as an English speaking person it's gets so annoying hearing people complain But they don't have enough French players on the team, But when you have guys that were either born here in English speaking but still speak French or grew up as Canadian fans and dream dream all their lives of playing for this team. Who the hell cares? What language they speak. Language doesn't win hockey games, heart and skill does.
Being chosen by his childhood team can only push is competitive nature to want to excel even more then he could have anywhere else.
If your intentions were to hit other grown men right in the feels, HockeyJunkie… congrats, it worked… 👍👍🤜🤛
As a Habs fan on Vancouver Island, I concour with the assessment of our well-spoken commentator .
I hope he becomes an amazing player
I hope Hage and Demidov become the new Toews and Kane
I like your quote "One of us". Sums it up well. We are all definitely rooting for him!
Yes sir. Can't wait to see him crazy the NHL roster
These boys know what they are doing when drafting. This talented young man will bust his ass for the Habs. A fan favourite already. In fact we are building a whole team of them. Don't want to sound like a Leafs fan…but…I can feel a parade or two coming in a few years.
Yes absolutely 💯 true champion
long live the Pharaoh !
gotta root for that kid ❤
Was an amazing moment. You can see the humility in this kid. Seems like a really nice guy. I think he flew a bit under the radar to a degree. Had a very slow 1st half and then cranked it up to around 2 PPG the second half. Plus he's fluent in French, a bonus. It's as close to picking pure laine without picking pure laine. GHG!
I always thought the chip on Wrights shoulder from not being first would drive him to become a force.
I’m getting the sense that draft success is not about picking the correct players but more about having a strong focus on development. And ours has seemed to be doing well recently, I think that bodes well for guys like Demidov and Hage.
i went to the Rcamp and dude this guy is a hell of a skater top !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hage grew up in the GTA while Matthews was winning Rockets, watching Habs teams featuring the likes of Jordan Weal, Alex Belzile, Byron Froese, Brandon Davidson etc. and still rode with us. He got that dawg in him.
montreals first round this year was beyond aces, i havent been this stoked about hockey for a while… lets GOOOOOOOOO
Just that sad story will instantly make him a fan favourite. Go Hage!!
I cried not gonna lie
They got two 1st rounders that want to play in Montreal. The Hage story is extra special though and I have the same thoughts…I'm rooting for this kid to succeed and see him play in Montreal. Hopefully he'll develop into an impact player in the top 6. He'll likely take time to adapt to the NHL level and reach his ceiling, get shit on for not being an instant star but likely has the mental toughness to stay focused and move forward. I'll definitely be tracking his NCAA progress. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
You think they moved up to get him or hope Eiserman was still there?
Who ever is video editing for props
my TOTs are that I would like to see videos you make next year that peek into what these prospects are up to once in a while!
I think the Habs left some more promising players on the board at 21, but I'm hoping this kid gets an added boost due to the fact he's playing for the team his family grew up cheering for. This team doesn't need another middle-6er, it needs a top-6er.
Hey what do you think about Israel Mianscum? So excited about these young Habs and their amazing stories.
The SJS fan yelling during the celebrini pick was the best for me.
I'm cheering for him too. Sure would like to see him make it, and he certainly can.
