As an Oilers fan I’m happy for the Flames. They’ve struggled a lot the last few years and I rather enjoy the BoA when both teams are competitive

Montreal remains the only arena not named Scotia Rogers

Glad Flames are getting a new arena.

    Shame it heavily publicly funded.

Where is it being built? Yes Rachel, I know it’s in Calgary. I meant specifically.

Are they going to do anything about the location? You know… Calgary.

Calgary Flames making a hot new home – hope they don’t melt the ice!

  7. Apparently Alberta is just a (insert business name) place

Whats your guys favorite NHL arena? Scotiabank arena? Sciotia center? Scotia Place? The Scotiadome?

    Is Taxpayer money being used

There’s another awesome benefit of this new arena, even to Edmontonians. I read an article a few years ago that said a lot of major acts opted out of playing Edmonton because, while Edmonton has a new arena, the Saddledome wasn’t suitable and since they couldn’t also do Calgary, Edmonton alone was cost prohibitive.

  11. Looks like an awesome place to see a concert or a performance live, and if you want to see live playoff hockey it’s only 3 hours north.

What’s happening to the saddle dome? Are they going to keep it?

Looks like a nice place to watch them get their butts kicked by the Oilers
