Patrick Johsnton from The Province gives us the lowdown on the Daniel Sprong signing, his fit within the Canucks forward group, whether the team might move a guy like Nils Höglander, Vasily Podkolzin’s long-term fit, and the goaltending situation with Arturs Silovs getting more starts next season so Thatcher Demko can rest.

Sprong was "only" minus 5, despite everybody saying he is bad in his own zone
Getting another D means Deharnais at 2M in the press box? Why
demko needs to go pure and simple
For the love of God PLEASE give up on the thought of Hoglander being traded. Why? Because its not happening. The value he brings is massive. If he goes then either podz aman or pdg goes in, no thanks. All 3 shouldn't be in the regular lineup if this team wants to be serious about contending. I'm fine giving it a shot with this D core and if something needs to change then make an in season move
How do we know what Hoglander is? Why do people assume he's a finished product? He's only 23 for crying out loud. I would be very worried about shipping out a 23 year old who can score 24 goals all 5v5 on a very reasonable contract. The piece back for him would have to be a legit top 4 defensemen with term.
I seriously doubt Demko plays much in 4 nations. Swayman and Hellebuyck are both better.
