1.18 AAV for 1 year and is still a RFA next year.

Also avoid going to arbitration which is probably the best part about it.

Good deal, whish it was for 2 years, but still nice

Leafs probably wanted something around 1.0 million whereas Dewar probably wanted something around 1.3 million and arbitration had them meet somewhere in the middle at 1.18 million AAV.

Love this deal. Dewar is a phenomenal 4th line asset!

Edit: Apparently they didn’t go to arbitration which is even better!

    Still RFA? Nice

Loved what I saw from Dewar on the Leafs (and Wild) last year and I think he’s an important role

Similar to Dubas’ few players a year he kept around for the middle/bottom 6 spots

Terrific! Now I have an excuse to start hitting the Dewar’s today.

1.18m for Dewar leaves $1.25m for Robertson, so that’s his number if he’s going to re-sign. Assuming no one else gets moved.

Same points as Kampf. Half the price. Do we need both? Gotta think Kampf is on his way out. We do that, sign Robertson, that’s 12 forwards. Have some PTO’s and Cowan / Minten fighting at camp for the last spots.

It’s not a bad signing by any means, but it does highlight just how GOOD the Bobby McMann signing of 1.35 x 2 years is.

Pretty good for the 8th best goal scorer on the team last season! Ahead of Jarnkrok, Domi, and even Reilly.

Guy is such a pain in the ass for the opposition, love him

Phew good thing we got it done at 1.18M because in arbitration he would have gotten AT LEAST… idk… $1.2M??

Smart move on his part. Has chance to prove himself in a contract year that either forces a better return on arbitration in 2025 or lets them extend him in a year when they’ve far more cap space.

    Dewar’s gonna giv’er and get’er done!

We don’t need a thinker, we need a Dewar!
