How Daniel Sprong impacts the Vancouver Canucks lineup and whether we could see a trade for a D-man

Sekeres and guest co-host Irfaan Gaffar do a deep dive on the Daniel Sprong signing and how it impacts the Vancouver Canucks. Where will Sprong play in the lineup? How does this impact the rest of the forward group? Will we see a potential trade for a D-man? Matt and Irf discuss it all.

  1. We got hog at too cheap of a deal to let go
I say try and move boeser for boldy
Don't know what other players or sweeteners to add on either team
But I don't wanna see boesers raise next year and think he should go home to Minnesota
I know I'm gonna get killed in comments for this
It's very controversial for me to say this
But if Blake or price see this and actually compare all stats for boldy compared to boeser on a struggling Minnesota team
I think they would even agree
One for one Matt boldy for boeser
Both Blake an price would pull the trigger and do it

  2. A few years ago, the lotto line was untouchable. Right now, everyone assumes the third line is untouchable.

Podkolzin isn't exposed, he's fourth line or 13th. Sprong could move fourth to third. If he is in the top six, you have injuries or your year is a disaster.

  3. Hoglander is going to freaking crush it this season. Steady improvement year to year Still so young. Trading him away would haunt us for years.
    Hossa light.
