Time for some bold predictions for 2024-25! Who will lead the Preds in goals? How many points will Steven Stamkos finish with, and where do Chad and Max have the Preds finishing in the standings?

  1. I actually love what Trotz did. He spent the money, wisely in my opinion, that we had and kept most of our picks and young guys. We have leverage for a late deadline pickup and also if Askarov really wants out he’s a good trade piece as well.

With the Saros move, I actually think it was smart. If he knew more about what was coming in, signing a proven vet for longer than you may want is better than trusting a young goalie with minimal nhl experience with the roster the way it is. Saros has question marks, but he’s also been asked to carry a team that doesn’t score at a rate like they need to. He has been asked to essentially have a shutout or only allow 1 goal every night and that just isn’t realistic with the offenses of today.

I have high hopes that this team starts at a high level out of the gates. Most of the guys have a year under Brunette and the guys coming in are vets and high level iq who should pick it up fast.

I could see a scenario that the top 4 could all be in the 70-80 point range, a bit of a reach, but with that PP and the skill level it should be a fun year.
