Taking time off social media can bring about a more focused mindset on what truly matters in life, it humbles and grounds people. Pettey spending time on his determination to perform better next season is definitely what he should desire and work towards, so spending less time on social media I hope can benefit him.
Petterson isn’t seeking validation from anyone next year he will let his play on the ice do the talking. And I would anticipate if he posted something else there would be comments saying to focus on hockey which he foresaw so he’s doing exactly that. If he had an amazing playoffs I think it’s a different story and as a result we wouldn’t be talking about his social media hiatus.
Sometimes trades are more about who left instead of who they got. Petey should have a great year with Mikheyev off his line, it cost him points because the guy can't finish

I think it's showing that Pettersson is maturing both as a player and person after the adversities he's faced, especially during the latter half of last season.
