I remember coaching 15-year-olds years ago. One of the boys his first name was Peter. In the middle of a game he got flattened and came off the ice. Sitting on the bench I asked him if he was OK. Peter looked at me with the straight face and said, ”Do you know what they call that? They call that Peter In A Check.”

learned about these guys a when i went down a rabbit hole of 80s leafs history a few months back. anyone (understandably) bummed out on another season of core 4 need to check out some of these 80s teams composed entirely of borje, rick vaive, and 20-odd fuckers that fell off a turnip truck. the situation isn’t great, but boy o boy it could be so much worse.

I would love to see the Leafs try to get Brandon Tanev. He looked good for Team Canada. It would be a cool identity and storyline for the team.
