  1. Good luck Jake. Thanks for the memories & for calling out Cassidy.
Was hoping he'd be a career bear. ☹️ Yes he's been given plenty of opportunity…
If he's not happy, it's time to go

But he's always had these swings – I hope he can find a place where he'll be more consistent & happy.

Looks like we'll be watching a lot of Vancouver games this season with so many ex-Bruins over there… (And Chicago )

would be funny if 2025 Stanley Cup final came down to Vancouver Boston again!… 14 years later.
We're lucky they didn't send Ullmark to Vancouver… That may have been a problem for the rest of the league.

Thanks for this tidbit… It's good to hear directly from the players themselves.

  2. It obviously just wasn’t the right fit for him… could have been the team, the management, or even the city. I hope he is happy with Vancouver but I won’t be surprised if that doesn’t work out either.

  3. gonna miss his speed and shot. best shoot out threat. started to really form into an all around player. and now he's gone. but getting Z and Lindy2 makes up for his departure. i feel for my mom. she does not watch anymore like when bobby orr played but two of her last favorite players were jake and taylor hall.

  4. Personally I think too much of a big deal has been made over what he said on the podcast. We knew years ago when the second time he asked for a trade became public he wasn't happy. And things didn't work out to get him traded then. Then when Cassidy got fired and then Debrusk rescinded asking to be traded it was obvious that Cassidy was the reason. Even though Debrusk was still inconsistent I think the last 2 years were his best development. I really don't think he wanted to leave this year but I understand Sweeney wanting to spend to get Lindholm and Zadorov , and making Swayman a priority over Debrusk. As far as Tochett being a hard coach that demands a lot I agree. But unlike Cassidy, Tochett has a personality and repor with players. I wish Debrusk all the best in his career and I hope he continues to develop. As Milt Schmidt said… Once a Bruin, always a Bruin.

  5. Jake was underrated. He may have ups and downs scoring but he contributed in many other ways back checking and digging along the boards. I feel there was just too much baggage with management and this contributed to the ups and downs and finally his withdrawal. Not a dis on mgmt. Sh It happens with personalities. I hope he thrives as he can, and sorry it didn’t work out.

  6. Great channel! You do NOT have to ask for subs at the beginning. Subs will sub with or without you asking at the beginning. We all know how to operate YouTube

  7. He played on top lines with top centers and he wasn’t producing enough, part of being a coach to get your players going, but it seems like it’s always been excessive with Jake
And also didn’t he need a therapist because he didn’t like the way Cassidy was coaching ??? P$$y

  8. I wish they kept Debrusk, especially the way he played this past playoffs. But letting him walk for nothing is a terrible move by Sweeney. The guy is extremely erratic but he's in his prime. He's a great skater. Can score, which the B's lack at times. And he was one of their better PK guys. Even if they moved him for draft picks last year, they should have gotten something for a in his prime, top 6 winger.

  9. He wanted to get the longest term contract possible so he signed elsewhere. He sounds pretty disingenuous, like you said “he got a lot of opportunities in the top 6.” Especially recently and he didn’t play like a star player that should be locked up for 7 years on a moderate contract. I see a buyout at the end of that contract in the future.

  10. spot on sir! Once he started learning how to play w/o the puck and playing more consistent defense, his cold stretches were a bit easier to take. And I think that all actually started during Cassidy's last year. Watch him put up a 30 spot in goals this year just to piss us Bruins fan off.

  11. I feel as if Jake was feeling entitled. Instead of complaining about the circumstances, he should have been trying to make the best of them. He had the opportunity, but not the will to work for it if he wasnt happy with the opportunity he was given. I wish him the best, but I agree with you, Court….he needs to work hard, but he will not be babied by Rick Tocchet, for sure. We will see if he can actually grow up and live up to his potential.

  12. One word describes Jake….Frustrating. Seemed like a really good guy with a great skill set. On paper he really should have been better than his stats would suggest. Sorry things never quite worked out in Boston but now it's put up or shut up time. It will be interesting to see how things go in Vancouver. All the best Jake.
