I would never buy an autograph unless it was from a trading card company. I don’t trust anyone from eBay even if it’s authenticated. Authentication only means to me, the person that looked at it thinks it’s real, other than that, the authenticator never saw the athlete sign that specific item. I don’t trust any of the companies that sell autographed jerseys/photos/pucks. They may have had the athlete in to sign items but who knows if they signed 10 jerseys and the company sells 20 jerseys with the autograph.
My most cherished item is a Guy Lafleur autograph of a photograph, I met him in person and he signed it.
