This was YZERplan all along. Looking at the weaknesses of the clownish G. M.s in the league. He played the long game. Hanging out to the final second. Here's it is the steal of the century. The Detroit Red Wings acquire Conner Mcdavid and Leon Draisaitl straight up for the Euro Boy's MO Sider and Lucus Raymond. Edmonton has the 2 best players in league that wanted out of the upcoming Bowman debacle and charade clown show. This leaves Edmonton worth no choice but to take the deal or get a much weaker package from another team with strapped assets and without 2 generational players. Detroit Red Wings are the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs Galaxy Champions.
The difference, Calgary was miles away from winning a cup, Edmonton are there, Leon is not fool, he knows he going to make a ton of money and he one season away from winning a cup, only a fool would walk away from this opportunity.
