Fuck I saw “Daws” and my brain filled in “…on”
Happy for Dawsy tho

I think this is a fair deal. Nico has shown flashes of greatness. I’m hoping we see more consistency. I know last year was tough coming off hip surgery and leaky defense.

So that means our goaltending cost will go down by about a million next season once Allen is gone. Daws will probably see a little NHL action this year but hopefully not much unless markstrom is hurt, then Daws should get quite a few starts to keep Allen under 42 for the year.

I like this deal. There’s something there when it comes to Daws, it’s just clear he’s not ready to be a starter, but he’s a good third option if we get into goalie hell again
Just dear god, do not start the man 7 times in a row again if that happens

I feel like fitz struggles with the goalie position. I’m fine with his offense and defense moves but he’s lost at how to build out the G position

This is great. I think he actually over performed when he was in the nhl last year considering we absolutely left him out to dry with shoddy D. He seemed solid. I’m also really curious about Poulter, the second Utica goalie. That dude was unreal last year in the AHL/ECHL and could be a gem

Pretty much what it should be. That the 2nd year is one-way is nice for Daws. Hopefully this year in the minors & maybe a few call-ups allows him to really develop himself into *at least* a solid NHL backup for us going forward.

Oh my god yes some actual Devils news today. This offseason is dragging by extra long this summer for some reason.
