Regardless of what your feelings are. He was still vital to that Stanley Cup run.

As it now stands, there are 4 players on that 2020-2021 team that are now retired:

  • Carey Price
  • Shea Weber
  • Paul Byron
  • Eric Staal

    I remember how bad Staal was in the regular season for us, only to center that insanely good line with Perry and Armia during the cup run.

    For whatever reason, I initially read that as him signing a 1 day contract with the Canadiens to retire a Hab. I was very confused
