Congratulations on the nuptials Marc and "Joyeux Anniversaire a' la famille LaRocco et a Monsieur Gary, ramenez les Nords! As stated early in the video, the cap number for next season must be revealed before serious extension talks occur. Igor is obviously the club's most important player and will want his contract to express that fact. Do the Blue Shirts EVER make it easy on the fan base? I apologize for elaborating on past Ranger draft busts, the names Pavel Brendl, Jamie Lundmark, and Stefan Cherneski come to mind. I was debating with a fellow blue seater recently about busts and the name Roman Lyashenko came up, if memory serves, he was drafted by Dallas, acquired by Sather, and passed under bizarre circumstances in Turkey. Sorry, I miss these boys and have a question. Regarding in-season goaltender trades, do the netminders' adaption to a new system of play and new personnel make the transition more difficult? Like a new quarterback having to learn his new team's offense? I have an idea but would love to read what you guys think.
Igor will get $12 million/year for atr least 6 years, no matter what ANY fan thinks or wants. He is as good as it gets in the NHL. EVERYBODY else on the Rangers will just have work around it. Salary caps suck, you have a small window to put your name on the cup. Use it or lose it! He led that team to a President's trophy winning season. Rangers have to pay him or lose him! Get over it it's NOT negotiable guys!
Great Video, as usual, guys. I think that Anthony is right on The Igor Shesterkin situation. I am sure, as An Islanders' Fan, that he remembers The Rock DiPietro 15 year deal, only for Injury(ies) to end his career not to long after the signing.
Igor Shesterkin has been much more inconsistent than King Henrik Lundqvist was at this point in his career & the $8.5 to The King was more likely for past performances, since, as you said, Marc, it was at The End Years Of His Career. Again I point out The Rick DiPietro & what can happen situation. Let me know what you think
Filk. I don't know that Tuuka Rask was backup to Thomas in 2011, at least, after The Regular Season.
I can't think of the name of the Backup in 2011, but, I think he became A Starter with another team in 2012.
I don't think that it was Andrew Raycroft, who I believe was in the trade for Tim Thomas.
