Fanatics jersey VS. Fake jersey?

Hey guys, curious if you think this fanatics jersey is worth 100.00 (on sale) or if I should just go with a "made in China"/fake jersey? I know that is maybe not everyone's cup of tea to support a fake jersey but I have found them to be of decent quality…I have never bought a Fanatics jersey however.

What do you guys think of Fanatics? I know fake jerseys don't always have exact colors and sizes for emblems but just curious what your 2 cents are if a Fanatics jersey over a fake would be worth it.

  1. Why is this getting downvoted? Hockey fans are edgy weirdos

The fakes always look worse than fanatics. Fakes always are the wrong colour and never last.

Fanatics is a fine jersey, not great but not a bad option. especially for that price.

I collect jerseys. I’ve got all different kinds. I think the hate against Fanatics replica jersey is greatly overblown. Is it on-ice quality? No… And it never claims to be. It’s priced appropriately and, for what it’s worth, is more comfortable than the authentic. If you’re not a hobbyist who collects these things and you’re just looking for something to wear to games or on the couch or looking for an entry into the hobby, the fanatics jersey is a completely reasonable option. Plus, if you spill a beer or drop food on it, you’re not out $400.

I would not recommend one of the fakes from China. They’re not worth the money which is saying something because they’re usually like $40. That said, lots of people buy them. Most of the jerseys I see at games are fakes and honestly, the NHL and Fanatics/Adidas/Reebok are to blame for that by pricing their fans out of the market.

TL;DR: Fanatics $100 jersey is fine. Wouldn’t recommend a fake. Follow your heart.

I remember your post from a couple weeks ago. I still strongly suggest that you not buy a fake. You may save a few dollars, but the quality is very poor. I can almost guarantee that if you buy something off DHgate, it will not look like the photo in the listing. You will not get something that looks good. Proportions, colors, and even the shape of the logo crest may be way off.

That said, $100 Canadian is a more than fair price for a fanatics jersey. They’re more like long sleeve shirts than jerseys, but they’re still better than fakes. I have quite a few jerseys, including one fanatics which was gifted to me. I wear it when I’m watching games at home because I don’t mind it I get dog hair on it.

I have a fanatics Weber jersey I found at a thrift store. At the risk of being banned from all hockey subs, it is fine and haven’t had any issues. I have seen some crazy bad ones online though. My favorite was the upside down Boston logo.

Back in 2010 I bought a $40 jersey from some random website someone referred to on hfboards. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was shocked at how good it was when I got it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was made in a legit factory. That’s how good it is.

I wear fake $30-40 jerseys in beer league hockey games. Perfect for that,

  10. Not sure if this helps but I was at the first home game of the Stanley Cup finals.

The store refused to crest the finals patch on an Adidas jersey, so I bought the fanatics one.

Would I have preferred the Adidas jersey, absolutely but at the time it was the only way to get the patch on the jersey for the game.

I realize I could have bought the patch and put it on a jersey later, but I wanted to wear the jersey at the game.
