  1. Swedish people talkin about Granlund is swedish thats why he is so good. He has nothing to do with sweden. Then someone says that Zibanejads father is from iran and mother is finnish and swedish start to say that it doesnt matter where his family is from just where he has got his talent.

  2. @Stage6RacingFIN – Thanks! From that clip, I can see that a Finnish player – intended or not – DID have a kicking motion, or close enough, that shot the puck to the net. It looked to me he saw the puck and kicked it. It's a tough call, however, but the ref. also thought this.

  3. @sindustries79 I used to congratulate to winners, but problem is that swedish media especially newspapers are showing swedish people as a vulgar and unsportsmanlike. If they win like now, they make fool of oppponents. Or if they loose like they have done many times, then they always found out something that opponents win looks less worthy. Anyway Gold medal guy is half finnish half iranian so congratulations to Mika !

  4. @erdonsa1 This is swedish way to do propaganda. Average swedish man believes everything what is written in Aftonbladet. What we can wait from country, where the King is the biggest joke in the world.

  5. I tip my hats to the Swedes. Well deserved!
Hardcore Canadian hockey fan here, while I am disappointed that Canada didn't win, I am happy to see a team like Sweden who plays with class win the gold.
    Cheers! <3

  6. To be fair, it wasn't a great game. It was like watching a 55 minute Sweden PP that Russia somehow survived until Zibanejad finally won it for the team that deserved it. Mind you I enjoyed watching it.

  7. Does it matter where the hell you come from? What matters is for which team you play. It doesn't matter if you're Swedish, Danish, Iranian or even fuckin' Finnish so long as you're playing for Sweden.

Do you think Zibanejad would be better if he had been playing for Finland?

Besides, luck and skill are both important factors in a game. How do you think luck plays when the puck just goes in by the post by not even an inch? Also, I think I'm right when I say that Gustafson's save was skill.

  8. They are only cheering because Russia beat them. That's why they wanted Russia to lose, the Canadian fans couldn't give two shits about Sweden had it not been for that.

  9. It's from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The main villain is named Makarov, and you hang him at the end of the game.

  10. "Some people actuallty say this tournament only matters to Canadadiens" – These guys have no idea what this meant to hockey fans in Sweden. This win was so important so Swedish hockey fans I can't even begin to explain it to Canadians. We have falltererd so many years and finally it was our turn!!!!

  11. It felt like this match was played in Sweden. What a match, what a support! One of my greatest sports memories of all time. Love u, Canada!

  12. As a rangers fan it’s crazy to see even 9 years ago Mika was scoring with the same old forehand to backhand top shelf goal! Love it!
