I know I’ll get downvoted to hell for this, but….
I just don’t get the Kobe hero worship. He was a great player…and that’s it. In fact it seems he was quite a horrible husband and possible sexual abuser, but even despite that, what’s the big whoop?
He was a great player, there’s no denying that. But there have been countless great athletes to come out of LA, few so blindly worshipped as Kobe. Is that all it takes now to be treated like a god (with statute and all)? To be great at sportsball?
Just don’t get it….
Anyone else feel like they are going to run out of room at Crypto soon for statues? Like they already have almost a dozen and the place was built less than 30 years ago.
