Seems like James Wood might be an extreme opposite field hitter like D.J. LeMahieu. He seems to consistently hit balls inside the other way, with power too. For most hitters that's somewhat fluky with teams encouraging players to pull nowadays, but he's already hit several home runs like that in a small sample size.

Ultimately…this is indicative of a .500 team. The pitching has excellent current and future potential, but when the offense is 3-27 WISP…this ain't gettin off the ground. That's a 27-run swing in 5 games. TWENTY SEVEN RUNS!! There needs to be changes with the staff – especially on the hitting and managerial side of things. Burrell and BoMel need to pack up and go byebye. Bringing in Rodriguez to get out of a jam – who gives up a hit per inning…lame. Sunk.
Usually you show all batters in the first inning. Why I don’t know. But this first inning when Giants did lots of damage, you don’t show all batters. How did runs 2 and 3 get on base before Conforto’s homer?
