  1. 30 Days Denny My Friend!!!! If I didn’t start my second life in South Florida Smokin the Geeen Dream, I’d be Wild….

  3. Denny was it not the illustrious Roger Buxton that would intro Al (CLOSE) Shaver? The way Al Shaver would exclaim HE SHOOTS…HE SCOOOOOOOORRRRESSS! Was just pure excitement! But honestly I used to love Mean Gene Okerlund of All-Star Wrestling too! Aaah, those were the days! Mom taking us shopping at JC Pennys when it was there in the corner of 36 and 61. We would have the Northstars broadcast playing on the old AM dial in the car. Mom would come and get one of us at a time to go clothes shopping. And nights the Northstars were not on, it was Radio Science Mystery Theater. Those were the days!

  4. I see more upside to Boldy than I would have for Draisaitl because of longevity and his high end is still another season or at most 2 away. As for Faber, he still will grow stronger so we have not seen if he has Makar like ability offensively. I think we will see a big improvement in Declan Chisolm as well.

In other lineup talking points, I believe TOI for Slow-be-gone Bogosian will dramatically drop. Maybe get Hunt time to show his ability. Middleton got role abused. He really ended up as enforcer the way things fell. That's not his strength. Lastly, get Ohgren, Khusnadinov, Heidt, Walker some top 6 slot time to real time evaluate them.

  5. Trade Spurgeon if possible while he has worth. package Gus Jojo and Freddy. And a prospect or two who won’t quite cut the mustard w the big club

  6. Good show, fellas. Great guest and fun Al Shaver story.
I get that these are the "dog days of summer" for hockey fans but the internet is all over the Laine to MN rumor-mill still…..Ugh, lets hope the articles are just click-bait.
*Russo just tweeted Rossi is coming into to town early to start workouts. Makes me nervous. Is he coming to town early to workout or pack up his stuff?!?!?!

  7. Loved the episode guys. Thanks for the shout out Denny haha. I remember the episode I commented that on. Tons of good talking points as always, Jim had a fun story to share, and just general all around good vibes. Never quit advocating for the kids! ✊😤

  8. A coach for a player can mean everything. Some take to old school, others like the pat on the back approach. It’s up to the coach to learn the nuances of what each player needs for motivation. Many coaches have their ways and just can’t change accordingly, Dean may be that coach. When you brought up Bobby Orr, it brought back memories of my college roommate and his Ray Bourque Boston jersey. Couldn’t agree more, play the prospects and find out what’s behind the curtain. How many times have coaches missed on players by letting their own arrogance take over. Many players develop later, you need to give some rope and you’ll know soon enough who can play and who’s not quiet what your looking for. Going to try to make it to the shindig – exciting…good stuff again..

  9. Thanks guys, very cool story and hockey perspectives. Like you all mentioned, next big thing, lock up KK. After that, work with Rossi on a fair deal, bridge or long term, either works for me. I can’t wait until more of our young prospects get to play. I think a couple more years of development and we’re going to be an excellent contender.
