  1. This kid is gonna be the real deal but why was Lafreniere as openly hyped when he has more franchise potential whereas Bedard is flat out generational?

  2. bedard over rated lol

another over rated prospect, zach benson is better, yager is better, carlsson is way better, loads of guys are better then bedard in 2023

  3. Just sayin, there were never any doubts about McDavid or crosby. WHL was extremely watered down last year. He will be elite, but probably not generational.

  4. I really want to say this. I work for a different WHL team than the Regina Pats and trust me when I say this he will be a generational talent. The Pats organization got Bedard at the worst possible time to help him succeed. The Pats just started their rebuild when drafting Bedard and where not able to surround him with the right players to win games. Bedard is a generational player on a bottom team. That’s one reason the pats are trading away lots of picks to try to get talent for Bedard. I’ve seen many players come through the WHL and Bedard no question is top 3 and he is barely 16. Trust me he’s gonna be incredible

  5. very inconsistent with his play so far this. And a lot of the pts he has gotten have come from playing not so good teams:
    Connor Bedard
7-7-14 pts in 17 games versus teams above the WHL playoff line (0.41 goals per game, 0.41 assists per game, 0.81 pts per game)

7-3-10 pts in 7 games versus teams below the WHL playoff line (1 goal per game, 0.43 assists per game, 1.43 pts per game)

    for more context =

    Brayden Yager
9-4-13 pts in 13 games versus teams above the WHL playoff line (0.69 goals per game, 0.31 assists per game, 1 point per game)

2-7-9 pts in 9 games versus team below the WHL playoff line (0.22 goals per game, 0.79 assists per game, 1 point per game)

    Matthew Savoie
7-14-21 pts in 14 games versus teams above the WHL playoff line (0.50 goals per game, 1 assist per game, 1.50 pts per game)

7-13-20 pts in 12 games versus teams below the WHL playoff line (0.58 goals per game, 1.08 assists per game, 1.67 pts per game)

The player in the 2021-22 season that north american fans should really be focusing on is a player from the USHL by the name of Adam Fantilli. You might look at Fantilli's stats of 17-13-30 pts in 21 games and think that he must've just like Bedard feasted on the lower teams, rather then the playoff teams, you would be wrong.

    Adam Fantilli
11-11-22 pts in 12 games versus team above the USHL playoff line (0.92 goals per game, 0.91 assists per game, 1.83 pts per game)

6-2-8 pts in 9 games versus teams below the USHL playoff line (0.67 goals per game, 0.22 assists per game, 0.89 pts per game)

    Edit:
Wasn’t wrong about Fantilli, was too fast to right off Bedard.

  6. I wonder who this guy will end up with. Ducks have some great prospects but I almost wish they would start tanking for a chance at him given that at best, they will barely make the playoffs for the next 2 years.
