Last year Ovi had a pretty cold/slow start, but still hit the 30 goal mark. So I feel that if he starts off the season good he could potentially break the record this upcoming season.
40 goals. Maybe 50. I remember 15/16 season well. Would he Get a last 50 goal season? Yes. He did it again a few times AFTER that and won the cup. If he clicks with PLD maybe a last 50 goal season almost a decade after 15/16!! Wow!
There is no way Ovechkin is scoring less than 25 goals cause Lightning never strikes the same place twice. He will have a good start this season no question. He had 8 goals mid season last year. He will have 8 before the 20th game this upcoming season. Don’t see him finishing as strong as last year, which was a 50 goal pace the last 35 games. He will score between 30-50 this season. What I am curious about is how many assists will he get. +/- situation and caps going into playoffs ready to win. Wouldn’t mind ovie passing Gretzky next year, but I got a feeling he’s going to do it now. Wow. After all these years it’s about to happen!
