  1. God damn if Darnell Nurse didn’t exist, Edmonton could actually build a defensive core.

  2. Armstrong just f'd the Oilers. They were counting on Broberg being a top 4 D this season, now they'll likely lose him.

  3. I would love to see the oilers match both, realistically their not. I only see Holloway being kept in Edmonton, broberg looked like he could eventually be a top 4 d man for the oilers tho great potential

  4. Oilers waste time hiring Bowman. Dude is disliked and a dark cloud .Why sign Perry & Brown? They shld have signed Holloway /Broberg weeks ago at cheaper deals probably. D aint great and then u lose Broberg potentially .

  5. Edmonton is $445,000 plus over the cap as it stands today-one player is certainly gone.

  6. In short, St. Louis just exposed Edmonton. They can't hold onto any of their assets because all their money is tied up in a few key pieces.

  7. Thats a rock and a hard place for sure, we need dylan's depth at forward and he was developing nicely. I'm pretty confident he stays, not sure what an offer sheet really means at the end of the day is'nt it the players decision? or are there player's union rules that say you have to take higher offer? Again confident dylan stays if it's his decision but broberg tough to say, does he wanna go to a rebuilding team or try and win now? If he stays and wins a cup he can punch his ticket anywhere he wants to go. At 4 mill per season not sure if the oilers would match broberg, but the need on the oilers is more for him then dylan sadly. Well it's time for Stan Bowmen to shine and think of a way out of this mess, thats why we hired him right? I'd prefer to keep both if possible but not at that price.

  8. This is war between Oilers and Blues. This is a dick move that many teams avoid. Broberg is who we really need. Skating is what does well. Oilers need both.

  9. If a player or players choose to go work for another team, good luck. Their Stanley Cup hopes and a legendary career just got farther away. Who is more likely to win the next cup? Edmonton or St. Louis?

  10. ya but do Holloway and Broberg HAVE to take it if Oilers don't match it? Is that what this is, did they already accept the offers? They can say no and sign for less with Edmonton can't they? I mean, they may never have a better chance at a Cup again for a long time 🤷‍♀

  11. I’m not really sure how these offer sheets work, If the oilers can’t match this do they have to trade the players? If they don’t have to then it could be up in the air if they stay bc why would u go from cup contender to play off bubble team

  12. Let Holloway go. The Oilers really need to shore up their D-core. They've got to find a way to match the Broberg offer. The Nurse contract blows!

  13. Broberg had a great few games in the playoffs. Don’t think he’s worth more than Bouchard @ 3.9. Tough L on the back end. That nurse contract is killing the oil.

  14. I love it. As a Pens fan, I was hoping to see Dubas offer sheet some of "his guys" from Toronto, like Nick Robertson.

  15. I'm surprised people don't talk about the players more in offer sheets, they have the choice to accept or decline the offer sheet, if they accept and are willing to leave why would you want that person in your organization, they could have had more talks and got a deal done but instead are fine with f*cking over your organization…

  16. Sucks for the future, but neither seem vital for a 2024-25 cup run imo. We played without both of them most the season, and picked up two excellent (and definitely better than Holloway) offensive players. Plus if Connor Brown continues bouncing back, our 3rd and 4th lines will be rocking anyway
