With the number of centres they have you could play a positionless back-check first forward back supports the d-man (centre position) 2nd and 3rd take the winger positions. If there is a puck battle in the corner and puck moves to the other corner forward on the offside wing moves to the centre position supporting the D-man other 2 read and react on who goes where. We did it in senior provincials when we became old and slower It was less skating. Breakout was tougher but we also couldn't make a normal breakout look near as easy as the NHL's worst team makes it look.
