    Imagine david actually likes alberta, could never get a house like what he lives in now in calgary. Those simply dont exist. He and any player would be dumb to not leave canada atleast for a few years. Let the tax issue get sorted out.

    Connor did them no favours he took 12.5 per season when nobody who had ever won a cup made more than 8.7

    Finally just last year Eichel at exactly 10 won.

    It adds up fast in a hard cap world.

    If Leon and mcdavid do matching 14 or 15 million dollar deals, yet their main competition has their top players at 10 they will be at a disadvantage.

    The NHL needs to find a solution to having a hard cap in a world where taxes are wildly different for each team.

That’s a Big Win, I’ve lived in boats and great accountant , real pro’s not some shmuck can find ways around the tax issues ( that’s there specialty ) Jeff Jackson , 97’s agent is now running the deal with the Oil, if you think he went there to not extend 97 , then you are clueless !! Drai and 97 are best friends and partners in Getting that Cup !! I’ve heard $16 M for 97, $14 M for 29 and $10 M for Bouch when the cap is at $100 M !! Nurse will be moved if they can get er done…..if not you trade them for nice returns…..

    Draisatl wont go under 13.5, Bouchard will AT LEAST double if he gets one more season like that.

    Even if they win next year, just forget about both of em going on team friendly deals because of their last contracts. If the Oilers want to keep their core, they'll have to make some magic happen concerning Campbell and Nurse.

    I disagree in regards with Bouchard. Bouchard was near the top of the league in zone denials, puck retrievals, and successful zone exits. He was also excellent at shot suppression and high danger chances against. He is excellent defensively
