TJ Oshie Lays a BIG Hit on a Colorado College Player

Friday, 11/02/07, TJ Oshie was streaking down the boards going after a loose puck, it appeared as though a Colorado College defenseman had him lined up for a crushing blow, however, Oshie lowered his shoulder, and ultimately lowered the BOOM and knocked the Tiger player off his feet and into the boards.

  1. What video are you watching? Get your eyes checked. Look at the end of the video when they show the replay. You can clearly see Oshie putting his stick on the puck while he hits the CC player. He 'played' the puck so I don't know what your watching.

Illegal hit? That was far from illegal. Very clean hit. Even the refs agreed.

  2. Lol. I guess Rick Nash should've watched this before he played the Blues last weekend. Owned two nights in a row by Oshie.

  3. Yeah um. this is called interference and was a dangerous play… Sure Oshie can hit clean, like with Nash, but this wasn't his best…

  4. You could tell the defenseman was going straight after Oshie not the puck, Oshie acted on the defense and laid the guy out. Clean hit – not interference.

  5. thanks north dakota for a great player here in St. Lou Mizzou!! I love watching T.J Oshie play, he is amazing!!

  6. Dude have u seent hem play recently, their so damn fast dude. Besides College hockey is never about who is ranked dude. Shit I watched Colgate lose to Niagra the other week

  7. He won the puck clean with a great play, what does it matter if it was "necessary" or not?

  8. you guys are fucking dumb there was no penalty on the play for good reason watch closely tj touches the puck before hitting him and the puck was within good range of both of them so there for no interference call..

  9. @Charleau78

He leads the Blues in points right now. He doesn't always score, but he's almost always part of the play that does. And the Blues are top of the Western Conference, with the best percentage win in the NHL.

But yeah, you must be right. Totally overrated, yeah?

    (Douche)

And another level headed, reasonable response. I guess I stand corrected. Clearly you couldn't be wrong or hasty to judgment about anything. Such a sharp-minded and well spoken individual.

    (Still a douche)

  11. Why do you think the puck goes into the corner? Because osh tapped it right before the hit. Clean hit.

  12. God I love Oshie. He has it all. Speed, Puck handling, power. Dude is a monster I wouldn't want to see on the ice. Go Blues

  13. @tampabayismyhome What does this have to do with anything? Who cares? Who on this planet didn't drink while they were underage??

  14. @BugsMeaney Do you even know what an interference penalty is? Clearly by your comment you must not understand. They're both going for the puck. Oshie taps in behind the net and then reverse checks the oncoming player. Oshie is a brick wall. This wasn't the first time nor the last time this will happen. We absolutely LOVE him in St Louis. People are deemed OSHIED! when hit by him lol Hes turned his game more offensive now but the hits still happen and when they do…what a treat

  15. Hats off to the NCAA.  What gréât hockey!  What I don't understand,,,here in Canada…they talked about concussions in hochey on the floor of our Parliament.  Everyone wants to find a solution…and the funny thing…the solution is so obvious  and exist "down there".  Sidney Crosby missed 100 games and the height of his career du to concussions then another month for a puck in the face.  Total games missed with a full face….0!!!!!!   Insurance companies need to step up and mandate this and take the macho BS out of it.  Teams have no interest in protecting their players…never have.  Guy LaFleur had no icetime until he took his helmut off.  It's so antiquated…their thinking.  The NHL players are talking lawsuit.  We are not a letigious people…but this one has it's place.  It's a matter of time a forward on the PK eats one off a one timer.  It will be gross…it will be death…and changes will be too late.  Saying I told you so will bring me no relief.

  16. Popped up in recommended…just noticed after the hit, there was either a bad change or someone jumped on the ice in dark. They definitely had too many men on the ice.
