I think he gets 40-60 starting the year on the 3rd line with McLeod and Kulich shocking many early with a fast paced balanced approach to checking vs scoring line only to get upped to the 2bd in January when Zucker needs a bit of a break and he never gives that slot up

    So 82 games in a season…

    A hat trick is 3 goals…

    Assists also count for one…

    *counting on fingers*

    5,000

My guess is he scores 40ish points, and that’s perfectly fine. I think he’s going to turn into a very solid player.

Personally, I don’t think he far exceeds last year’s totals for a couple reasons.

First, is opportunity. I don’t see him cracking the top power play unit so he’s going to have to do practically all of his scoring at 5v5. He’s also probably not going to get considerably more ice time than he did last year (although if healthy, will likely have more games played).

Second, is his linemates. Last year 1/3 of his 5v5 scoring came while playing with Mittelstadt. While I won’t bemoan that departure, the reality is there isn’t a better playmaking centre on the Sabres.

(Someone might point out that he also scored 9pts while playing with Cozens, but that was in more than double the ice time).

I’m thinking he finishes with around 35pts, but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s under 30.

Floor is 20pts and the ceiling is 60pts for me. All I ask Zack is be a problem for the other team. Because I think he has the factor of guys will focus on him so he can create plays and get apples. The real question is who’s the linemates and how are they structured
