Who are five players you see breaking out next season?

For me I gotta say Shane Wright as one. He has struggled maybe play him with someone like Stephenson and Beniers and he may do well, he is an exceptional status player he will eventually play like one he did well in his 8 games last season getting 4 goals and 5 points. Another one is Jack Quinn who did well in his short stint last season with 9 goals and 19 points in 27 games but he just needs to stay healthy and play 70+ games. Erik Brännström. This may be a stretch as he is already 24 and hasn’t done much but a change of scenery to a team that will do better than the Sens may be what he needs, he currently has 69 points in 266 NHL games and has been playing 16 minutes a night consistently. Cole Perfetti the 22 year old winger who had a decent year last year with 38 points in 71 games could become a 50 point guy if used correctly by the Jets next season if he does worse maybe a change if scenery could be the best option for Perfetti. My final player is the new Golden Knight Alexander Holtz. The struggling forward only had 28 points in 82 games last season with the Devils as he had no opportunity to break out and was mismanaged by the Devils to me and just hasn’t could a trade to Vegas be the change he has needed? Maybe not but possibly as plenty of players have broken out in Vegas.

Montreal homer. I think this year will be great for Caufield. He was coming off a shoulder surgery last year and people thought there was something off but I really believe when people say it’s a long recovery and he wasn’t 100 percent. He didn’t do terrible and if you look at him before the surgery he has some really good puck skills, played more defensive last year. I really hope to see him have a great season. No concrete predictions but I expect Caufield to be “breaking out” this season. Hopefully this ages well!

Yeah I think Holtz will break out, the devils bungled his development so bad, in 22-23 he spent almost half a season watching hockey from the press box in Newark instead of being sent to Utica, then they had him playing on the 3rd and 4th line last year.

I hope he pulls a Sharangovich

Jonatan Berggren- seems like a bit of a sleeper who can put up points

Connor zary – Kid has completely off the charts hockey IQ and should get legit top 6 minutes all season, hopefully full time center. I could legit see a 25ish goal 65ish point pace.

Phillip Broberg – Dude has earned a top 4 spot and is worth every penny of the money, and way more than the second round pick. Not going to predict a point total, he’s a D man and we don’t know which team he plays for yet.

Kent Johnson – only a matter of time before that kind of skill breaks out. Not just the flashy stuff, but the great playmaking as well. Same point range as Zary. Maybe even more goals.

Tommy Novak – Already has the skill, but I think the improvement on the team around him will allow him a pretty good chance to show it more often. 20 goals 40 assists or so.

Alexander Holtz – A new start was sorely needed for this kid. Not sure he plays with Eichel because they both like to do the same things with the puck and Eichel is just better, but he could find himself on a line with Hertl and/or Stone, who could both teach him alot and help with his confidence. 55-60 point pace.

Lucas Raymond is going to lead the Wings in points again and become our perennial points leader.

I like Wright, Cooley, Kulich, Krebs and Torontos Robertson.

Rooting for Zary and Kakko and think Lafreniere puts up about 84!

  7. Wright and Perfetti are great bets. I like Geekie in Tampa as well as for Bedard to establish himself as a clear top player in the league.

Love Jack Quinn. He’s got a wicked shot and he’s gonna get some good ice time next season
