Feedback Friday or the Saturday Slide?
Just a note to your fan who mentioned how Marcel does not come to any Kings games…he lives in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Now then, why doesn't Butch Goring ever come to visit…after cooke gave him a lifetime contract, then traded him for S*** to the N.Y,. Islanders-where he went on to win a bunch of Stanley Cups. A note: I am still riled over trading Terry Harper and Dan Maloney for Marcel Dionne. Dionne turned out to be a Hall a Famer, but he was never gonna win us a Stanley Cup. Cooke was always interested in Hollywood players to fill the stands. But he had trump's arrogance and refused to let anyone build the team correctly. So, I wish for us to remember/kindly Bob Pulford. Had he remained here, he was the guy to rebuild the team with focus on young people, strong defense and an aggressive "North-South" game. And, personally, I never cared for the Gretzky trade. We traded away the brunt of our team for 'a name'. that was 1988. By the mid-'90's, he wanted out of L.A. So, the only good thing about Gretzky in L.A. was he had a fan in Drew Doughty and that was why Doughty wanted to come to L.A. But, make no mistake, Gretzky's loyalty to L.A. was to Janet Jones! Meanwhile, talking of ALL Gretzky did for hockey…one of main excuses was the existence of the Arizona Coyotes…but now they are gone. Period, that's it!
