This should make their fanbase happy, just wish it had happened while I was there.

  1. I love flower but he didn’t play in 2016, not really his cup, 2017 you never know if they kept him in they could of lost, 2009 was his but really he won 1 1/2 cups

  2. I heard all of Vegas collectively orgasm over this. Their instagram posted 9 pictures for him. You'd think they signed JT, and traded for Karlsson and Patches- like every Vegas fan thought they had the capability to do. But nope! Just signed this guy to an extension.

  3. WPG: We're going to give the worst contract extension of a goalie this year to Hellebuyck.
    VGK: Hold my beer.

  4. Good move by Vegas, ive watched fleury since he played junior in Cape Breton and is absolutly worth 7 mil for 3 years

  5. I like your term, "folk hero", so right. We love our goalie! My kid got a great photo with him last September when Marc Andre was walking through the practice facility in street clothes like everyone else. I got a "DUH MOM" look when I asked "who was that guy?" So, hence my frequent visits to your wonderful channel.

  6. I'm not going to complain about the cap hit when it means adding on another three years with Fleury! We love him here in Vegas for good reason, and I'm glad we're going to be avoiding all the drama over whether he'd be re-signed by just extending him now.

  7. That's good for Fleury. Remember Nashville came close to winning the Cup but it didn't work the next season.
P.S. France will win the world cup.

  8. They love the guy, I get that. Fleury had a great season, his best. He will not live up to that season ever again. Many on here call him an elite goalie, he isn't. His playoff stats say otherwise.
    2012-13 5 290 2 2 17 1 3,52 145 .883
    2011-12 6 337 2 4 26 0 4,63 157 .834
    2010-11 7 405 3 4 17 1 2,52 168 .899
I've spoken to die hard Pens fans that acknowledged Fleury's shortcomings and they're happy for him now that he's moved on. Maybe he'll keep on this resurgence now that the first season is over ? I won't blame the finals on him but his play sure leveled off and he looked more like the Fleury I know and love which is just an average goalie at best. I'm not knocking the guy either, I was cheering for him but I on the other hand knew better than to think he was going to take them to the promised land, I had a feeling it was Ovi's time.

  9. I absolutely love this extension!! Fleury loves Vegas and Vegas loves Fleury! So excited that he should finish his already brilliant career in Vegas!!

  10. Would of liked it better at 6 but its Fleury! Hes our guy till the youngins are ready!!

  11. I'm very happy having him stay with us in Vegas. You're right – two icons that we currently have is Engelland and Fluery!

  12. Fleury will finish his career in Vegas as they gave him his starting job back, really helped his career, and he enjoys being in Vegas, so I like this signing

  13. Just worry about the concussions. Other than that he’s been embraced by the city and he’s embraced the city it was jaw dropping watching him throughout the playoffs

  14. Funny how everybody is saying that this is so amazing contract etc. and same people shit on Hellebuyck's contract.. hmmm… Bandwagon?

  15. MAF deserves this contract. While the cap hit may be a bit high he will live up to it, unless the team comes back to form and does not compete for division titles and falters the next three years

  16. If MAF stays healthy, this contract is a steal. I dunno much about hockey FA but from what I have heard goalies like Fleury don't hit the market.

  17. THR33 cups, how could they have argued with that. He's a great playoff gamer. The same. THEN, there's
    That trade clause…..
