It’s hilarious that fans want Garcia to be benched. He’s hitting .236 but that isn’t even an issue considering he’s been moved all over the lineup this year. I’d keep him in the 7,8 or 9 hole and let him rip bags with his base stealing ability. Good weapon to have on base when the lineup turns over.
Secondly he’s 24 years old and has an elite glove at the hot corner. Between him and Witt on the left side there’s so much range between the two and chemistry. Not to mention he’s a player with a wicked family tree, and that can only help.
Y’all salivated over Nicky Lopez who had no where near the talent or ability Garcia has. Garcia is a huge piece of this future squad for years to come.
Jack. With the 20 game stretch of playoff contention teams coming up. What is a reasonable realistic record in your mind for that stretch?
IMO, if we go .500 over that time at 10-10 I’d be thrilled. Thoughts? But obviously I hope we do even better and shock the baseball world and go like 13-7
As of Sunday evening, Royals have a bigger lead in the WC than Cleveland does in the division over KC. It's time to start thinking about the division!
