If the flames can trade him they absolutely have to. Trading him would help us get a higher pick, we would get good assets for him and by the time we are ready to compete he will suck and paying him 7 mil could really hurt the team.

Kadri turns into a sloth once the puck leaves the offensive zone. At least he's a good at cherry picking.

With $ retention Avs would take him back. But more likely a desperation Leafs trade when they get stuck deeper in the mud.
If the Flames could get any one of Krebs, Necas, Zegras for 2 seasons, while they finish low, and get good draft picks. Then Kadri, Kuzmenko, Andersson can all be moved.
