Where does Laine fit in the Canadiens roster?

With the Habs acquiring Patrik Laine, there are many questions, including how he will fit with the myriad of younger players, where he could be playing, and how his contract fits in Montreal. TSN’s Kenzie Lalonde has more.

  1. poor laine, plays in a dump like winnipeg, a joke franchise in columbus and now toxic montreal, no wonder the he suffers with depression lol

  2. All day now I've heard the tired old line "Laine needed a change of scenery".
    Vapid, trite, talking head gibberish.
He could have easily afforded a long, restful vacation with his current wealth.

Sports teams aren't psychological charities. And they shouldn't be paying $8.7 million for a head case….they should cost a dime a dozen. Fire sale prices.
Grow up, do your job, earn what you're being paid.

  3. Sidney Crosby's salary cap hit this season is $8.7 million.
Laine isn't fit to tie Crosby's skate laces.

  4. Good to hear Line is still alive, and apparently back to being a ‘Finisher’ in the Top Six. Must have had a good season last year.

  5. – 57 over the last 4 years. That should really show you just how much Laine brings to the table. Sure he should help the PP which is his bread and butter but how many games does he cost you in the end because he simply can't be bothered to put in the needed effort night in and night out.

  6. Perfect fit! Habs are one of the worst plus minus teams ever and they just got a guy that’s never blocked a nhl shot in his life, lol ,habs need Ryan O’Reilly , not no defense laine, wonder what his new name will be? Patriceeeeeee!!!!! Lalanieeeeeee!!!!!!! Lol

  7. I'm betting that Laine's skills will be diminished in Montreal and his production will become mediocre like the rest of the team. After following this losing team for thirty years, I've learned to be very pessimistic.
