I heard someone say fuckin fag as Morgan skated by the penalty box in my TV. The only two people near the box were Morgan and Meier the ref. My thinking is Morgan didn't say you are a fag ton ref so NHL just forgot about it.
I expect everyday people on Reddit to get carried away with the assumptions, but to see how some people who actually make a living as "journalists" do the same and refuse to walk it back or apologize is just sad. Some pulled their comments down and are hoping people just forget about it.
What is don't understand is why is this such a big deal? Things are always said on the ice in the heat of the moment and have been for as long as the game has been around. It's a competitive sport and tempers do get flared up, so if things are said that are potentially offensive, you apologize to the person and be on your way, as it has been for the entirety of mankind. Just because your sexual orientation is different, it has to be national news? Gimme a break!

Morgan you should have never bowed to the PC morons by deigning to even refute this totally manufactured garbage. The imbecilic bettman is trying to sell the game as "multicultural and diverse", that's the reason that you keep seeing non-White people in strategic spots around the rink (such as beside the penalty box and behind the player benches), to give the impression to home viewers that there are more non-Whites in attendance at the game that there really are. Go to a game and you'll see what I mean. Just as bettman manufactured that non-event in Chicago, when a black player was allegedly called an insulting name when he was in the penalty box, this entire brouhaha is PC theater at it's worse, and a class act like Reilly should not have his good name associated with it, nor should he have co-operated with this kyle dumbass's little freak circus side show.
