  1. wow its so refreshing to see actual level headed analysis of the maple leafs unlike every other mainstream media outlet that calls for nylander to be traded for tanev lmao

  2. Fatty hates the leafs lol , you can tell… how are you going to compare Matthews, Tavares , kadri.. too Crosby, Mallon brassard … that's a joke

  3. Projected lineups are out, why speculate .. starting lineups will be marner, tavares, marleau
    Hyman, Matthews, nylander
    Johnsson, kadri, kapanen
No question that'll be the lineup to start the season.

  4. Lol they won’t put marl with mathewes and nylander,
    Babs specifically said.
he will keep Hyman with Matthews and (X)
He wants him there cause he will grind,
Not saying marleau isn’t feisty, but…Hyman is who he wants there. And plus they want mat and nylander to be the point scorer, Hyman knows it’s not him.

  5. Leafs miss playoffs. I'm calling it now. Babs gets fired. Taveres and Matthews have career bad years.

  6. Keep hearing about the 1st round loss forgetting that Boston finished 4th overall in the league. A good team was going to be out in the first round either way. Sucks but it is what it is.

  7. Gardiner is a solid offensive defenseman, he was only 9 points shy of Karlsson's point count from last season, but we have a superfluous offense already. As they said, one of the best sets of Centres in the league, adding Tavares while losing JVR and Bozak almost completely evened things our if you look at what all three of them put up in terms of numbers last years. Marner, Nylander put up amazing numbers and Hyman, Marleau add good numbers too. Brown, Johnsson(still young and improving), Kapanen(still young and improving), Leivo are all good players… we don't need more offense, you can't be a glass cannon in the playoffs. It'll get you too the show, but it won't win a cup. If a team with quality defense, but lacks in offense wants to trade for him, I'd take it. He's getting paid a good chunk of our cap to be redundant basically and not do the job that his position should demand first and foremost and that's hold down the blue line.

  8. There is no reason that the Leafs cannot compete for the Cup this year. If I had to find a fault it would be a second string goaltender. They need someone as good as Anderson who is happy to sit on the bench most nights. That's hard to find. But going into this season, I am 100% happy with the team. I saw them win their last Cup. I WILL see them win their next. This season or next. That's my prediction.

  9. Mike John, unbeknownst to himself, points out the blunder of signing John Tavares right here. The Leafs are going to be paying $11 million per year for their second line center for 7 years. Boy, that cap better get to $100 million fast.
