  1. i feel like tampa has set their window with this group for two years. mcDonagh and moser deals both expire 2025-26 and they currently have all of their own draft capital in 2026. most importantly it adds flexibility.

to be fair also, these moves could backfire and by 2026 a full rebuild could be underway. kuch's contract expires in 2027 and would be a great trade chip. or the moves could work with some added cap flexibility next offseason.

am appreciative that tampa is an organization (like vegas) that is ruthless, is not afraid to make bold moves, and can admit mistakes and make corrections.
happy for stamkos at age 34, getting one last big ($8m x 4Y) contract, even happier that tampa dodged that bullet also.

i think with good health, tampa can make the p-off's. 3rd place or more likely as a wildcard. are they an elite contender at this time? definitely not, but feel free to write TBL off at your own peril.

    go boltsāš”

  2. As a long time bolts fan, i believe that we are still a playoff team. It'll hurt not having Stamkos, but i believe we'll finish 3rd in the division behind Florida and Toronto.

  3. I am a Tampa area resident and fan.

If we have Vasy. We are a contender. No, its not as easy as it was. And I'm still riding high on the back to back and so close to a third. I know the window is almost closed. I also believe in Cooper. If hes here as well we have a shot.

  4. This season is a "transition year" for Tampa, but next year and beyond they'll be contenders again.

  5. What's noticeable is a level of grit that they lost the past couple years too, especially now. Hopefully we just out score everyone to avoid that situation.

  6. Injuries could be this teams biggest difference maker. If they stay healthy, they should make the playoffs again. Unfortunately I still don't see them making much past the 2nd round, but who knows. A healthy Vasi will also make a massive difference.

  7. Their time is over since they were getting incredible value from all over the roster wrt the Cap until last year.

  8. I had a hard time concentrating on the video because I was melting from the sweetness of your sweet cat (:

  9. The Bolts are very unpredictable this year. I see them finishing anywhere from 2nd to 6th in their division depending on Vasilevsky's performance (which is likely better, but goalies are weird), the power play chemistry, Kucherov's performance, and their defense

  10. I would be hesitant to count out a no state income tax team. 7 of the last 10 finals participants have been one of those 5 teams. (Lightning, Panthers, Stars, Golden Knights, Predators) The salary cap is effectively higher for those teams. I wouldnā€™t be surprised if itā€™s 9 out of 12 after next season.

  11. Honestly Tampa has never really been that great on defence, the amount of odd man rushes they give up is shocking. I know they have had some great defencemen but Vasy has always been back there to bail them out for their poor pinching choices. Heā€™s been on the decline for two years, the success of the team really lies with him.

  12. Is Bear aware that Andrei Vasilevskiy is known locally as ā€œThe Big Cat?ā€ I think the forward group is going to be ok. I am more concerned with the blue liners. Go Bolts!
