  1. Never forget the Anaheim Mighty Ducks incident & subsequent melt-down on Sports Page in the mid 90's. Turns out, it was not the last night of your broadcasting career. I've been a fan ever since.

  2. Huge congrats, Donnie. If its true that you were accepting during the JT goal, we're definetly going to need your play-by-play on it at some point! A quick story:

I went to highschool at St.Thomas Moore in New West. The Sportspage crew, including Don, shot a couple commercials with my football team.. who happened to also have a Passaglia connection. Lui's brother was a sub teacher there, and i remember Lui being at the school one day (early 90's) and booting the football almost the length of the field. We were all in awe. Donnie and the Sportspage crew came back to the school and did a Q&A for us that inspired me and many others. I wanted to be like Don! It looked like so much fun. So i went to BCIT TV & Broadcasting school after graduation. While that career did not pan out for me, it did for a classmate of mine.. the one and only Mike Halford of Halford & Brough!

You inspired a generation and continue to do so to this day, which is just incredible. Still one of the best to ever do it. Thanks, Donnie. You're a living legend. πŸŽ‰
