RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. Johnny was an electrifying player, absolute magician with the puck, hard to believe a guy his size could be so dominant in the NHL. Terrific humans, very sad story đ˘
Yesterday's player with most potential winner was Nick Bjugstad. He had the size and maybe relied too much on his shot but injuries took their toll. He gave me a stick after practice so I have a soft spot for the guy.
Similar to yesterday's category, but slightly different is Wasted Potential. Likely your high draft picks who didn't pan out – and boy we got a lot of em!

So highly touted coming out of the draft, NCAA champion with Denver, some said he was the best player not in the NHL at the time, the ARTIST. And unfortunately… did nothing. Didn’t even get anything good back in a trade. Sucks.
Keaton Ellerby? Top-10 pick, 2 picks before Ryan McDonagh, ended up being pretty terrible. Honorable mention to âBaby Jagrâ Rostislav Olesz, 7th overall pick with a career high season of only 30 points.
Choose almost any top draft pick from, like, 1997-2010 lol
Olesz.
