I was watching that game and was so mad…. Gaustad did nothing, then when they played them again he decided to try to fight. Way to late and the team hasnt been the same since.

I don't have many happy memories of the Sabres/Bruins since the WHA/NHL merger realignment. So many times boston eliminated us after that.

I remember the first big date my wife and went on when we were dating was a bruins-sabres game in boston. I remember them losing 4-0 after what seemed liked and endless parade to the penalty box, a fan told my wife "wrong team" , the lady working the concession stand tried to tell me my NY drivers license was no good to buy alcohol at the game and finally some guy in the parking lot asking his son "we really gave them a backyard beatdown didn't we" In the thickest most nausea and diarrhea inducing Boston accent imaginable. Needless to say I can't wait for this Boston team to finally pay the piper

That’s precisely when the Sabres downfall began and I have been saying this since day one! Ruff restrained the Sabres and botched things up big time!
Not sending someone out after Lucic was a massive blunder…and having not yet listened to this podcast…I am thinking that’s what the message will be.
As someone who is happy Ruff is back…in a big way…I think he learned his lesson.
Ruff deserves a cup and I am hoping he gets one!
