Monahan and Tafoli were trade deadline pickups, so not resigning them is not a big deal, as most teams have challenges resigning rental players. The Jets remain very similar to the majority of last season. Let's not forget the Jets finished one of the top teams in the league, with its defensive style. The Central is a very tough division with many top end teams. Of course adding youth will have challenges to the Jets roster, mostly with defensive errors. Perfetti should be improved and I am looking forward to seeing him progress.
I hate it when a team takes a lifetime centre and puts them on the wing or vice versa. Can’t tell me the player is comfortable.
Have said it before and will say it again. To really have a shot at a cup in this league, you need either a couple of generational pieces, or you need roster stacked full of grade A and B+ players, or both. The only way to get a team like that is to tank and draft very well for a few years. Jets ownership is all about making money, so they do not wish to suffer through the years of empty seats that losing will bring, in order to draft the pieces they need to win. Only thing fans can hope for is a miraculous hot streak that rides them to a final. Helly also needs to finally start being a playoff goalie, and not just a regular season superstar.
I don’t think jets will be good this year I kinda hope they don’t so they get rid of guys at the deadline this is not a team that will go deep in playoffs and I don’t want another 1 series exit
