Everything to be said about Nick Robertson has been said over the past couple of months, but that doesn’t mean the discourse has to end. I’m a Robertson believer, he’s only 22 (granted, he turns 23 on Wednesday), and he’s coming off a season where he scored at a 20 goal, 39 point pace. He’s still not under contract but he has almost no leverage, I think he signs some time after the start of camp and he’s in the opening night roster.

I just don’t see this kid sitting out for the season or getting traded. He’s going to sign this month, if not at the end of pre-season. Get your one year deal done, play your ass off and earn your spot on another team next year.

2nd or 3rd round pick for him would be ideal then trade for the LW is where I think this is going

I hope the Leafs play hardball with him. If a really good offer turns up then sure. But if one doesn’t then he can sit or sign. Whatever people around him are saying, he’s making a bad call.
