  1. Duchene is going to win because of his exit, but the real answer is Tyson Barrie, IMO

I kinda want to say Calvin Pickard. I remember some Avs fans were having a melt down when we let Vegas pick him in the expansion draft, as if we were letting Patrick Roy go.

I get we’re voting for Duchene on personal reasons but I can’t see how he’s genuinely the case. 800ish points in 1050 games ain’t bad enough to separate him from other candidates.

Teemu Selanne- great player on other teams, but when we got him, it was such a letdown

  5. RMoysters33

It’s kariya and selanne. Hard pill to swallow.

  6. Cody McLeod. Loved him while he was here. Absolute fan favourite. Did his job well but he was a terrible hockey player. Hope I don’t get downvoted into oblivion for this one haha.

I’ll dig deep in the bag and say Wojtek Wolski. Duchene wasnt overrated. If we had him at 2C right now we’d be singing his praises to the moon. He’s just a bit of a douche.

  8. threepwood52

François Beauchemin. A three year deal for him was crazy.

  9. polymorph505

Conner Bleackley, if you’re going by his rating vs his reality.

  10. I’m a bit surprised not to see Jost mentioned yet. Love the guy and he developed into a half decent bottom 6 guy, but we used a 10th overall pick for the guy. Maybe not most overrated, but an honorable mention.

Personally I’d rather go with someone like RyJo over someone like Duchene. RyJo got paid to do nothing Duchene is getting voted because of salt

    Selanne?

I’m not sure how to apply the criteria. He’s an all time great, just sucked for his short time with the Avs.

  13. Definitely Calvin Pickard. Remember so many people being initially upset that we lost him in the expansion draft and touting him as the goalie of the future.

  14. nystrom19

    Skoula.

17th overall pick, good size and speed.

Seemed like he had so much potential the first few years but he hit a plateau very early on. He never became an offensive threat or solid shutdown dman.

  15. kovalev23

Joe Colborne immediately after scoring a hat trick in his first game as an Av.

  16. EmbarrassedMost2962

Selanne, Kariya, Big Z are ones that come to mind. Recently Jost and Girard two that come to mind.

  17. schewbacca

Derek Morris is the only answer. We traded Drury and Yelle for him because he was “supposed” to be the next Rob Blake.

  18. WoooahBaby

Don’t know if I’ll make it to “worst shot” but can someone proxy vote Kerfoot for me?

  19. blondespikes22

    Jose Theodore

was the league mvp in 2003, sucked for us

  20. DirtyFckinDangles

DK. Yes he won us a cup but man people on here talk about how good of a goalie he was…no

  21. ThunderGoalie35

Duncan Siemens has to be on this list. Massive bust.

  22. mogulseeker

    Dan Hinote.

He was beloved but I never really understood what exactly he brought to the team.
