[Di Marco] While it is not officially confirmed, the expectation is that Alexei Kolosov will not be reporting to PHI training camp. In the event of this the assumption is that the contract will be tolled, similar to Ivan Fedotov’s two years ago.

It’s unfortunate that the Flyers will be painted as the “bad guy” here when in reality, he signed his contract and took the signing bonus.  This will be am interesting thing to follow, who will balk first? HockeyNewsHub said Minsk signed a 4th goalie before the weekend so my assumption will be he’d have to sign elsewhere in the KHL or he’s just going to put his career on hold indefinitely….

Throwing away an NHL career because you got mad at the situation you created. (For those wondering, kid didn’t want to stay with other teammates, he wanted to stay in a hotel on his own. Then bitches about not feeling welcome)

I’m not sure what recourse the Flyers have, but if he refuses to follow the terms of the contract he signed, the team should be compensated. I also think Kolosov should face penalties if he tries to come to the NHL in the future.

The weird thing to me about this is that Kolosov isn’t listed on Minsk’s goalie roster and he didn’t dress for their pre-season game on the 5th

They need to move on from this clown ASAP

This is best case scenario for both isnt it? Kolosov gets another year in the KHL like he wanted and the Flyers are not burning a year off his contract.
