The first game after Pelle died was against the Oilers. There was a ceremony before the game. A priest gave an invocation. He asked God to bless everyone. He named both teams.
After the priest said, “God bless the Edmonton Oilers”, my father said, “It would be awkward if we were playing the Devils.”
