For Sid, i dont care about years or annual salary. Whatever he wants. Crosby is not going to want to answer the same contract questions over and over until thats signed. How about 3 years at $10.87/yr?
I think we all knew he wasn't going anywhere but it's only human to have some doubts with the long delay and Toronto media and others having nothing better to do but create speculation.

I am sorry anyone who has worked in finance knows that until the deal is signed, it isn't guaranteed….until that deal is signed i am not counting on him playing for the Penguins next year

I think I will 💯 put 100 bucks on the Crosby at 25. Remember Hart is most valuable player to your team. Not the league. I agree if Pens get in the playoffs and Sid puts up 100 points he may get it

Pens could make the playoffs and that would be because of 87. 87 could have 100 points at 37.
Seriously Bedard, Tage Thompson, Mitch Marner, and William Nylander have zero chance of winning the Hart.
Blatant and purposeful disrespect to 87 by some weirdo who has Tage Thompson on his list ahead of 87. YIKES! The Sabres never make the playoffs ever. Tage Thompson has 1 point per game season in his whole career. In 2024 Crosby had 94 points. T. Thompson's top 4 best seasons are 94 points, 68 points, 56 points, and 14 points. A Sabre who sucks is now even better than Sid just like soft trash Marner and Nylander. FU. Anyways while Thompson, Marner, and Nylander go for the MVP. 87 can break Lemieux's franchise record of 1,033 assists. 87 can also hit the 600 goal plateau and 1,600 point milestone. 87 is no William Nylander, Marner, or Tage Thompson but he'll have to do.

I doubt Sid signs an extension this season. If Pittsburgh misses the playoffs again this year he’s leaving. And I for one do not blame him one bit. He owes the penguins nothing and he will forever be a penguin. But while he’s still competing he deserves a chance at another run.
