I've detested the Stars since '98 and even more so now that they beat us last season.
I will say Duchene being the one to do us in hurt. Because you just know how much he enjoyed doing it in Colorado no less.
But i personally think the Seattle beef is over unless they start booing makar again. Then its on.
Count me among devoted Stars' haters. Still remember Hatcher & Matvichuk taking cheap shots at Hejduk (broken collar bone) & other smaller Avs players (Drury) during 1999 & 2000 playoffs. Always root against Stars.
Duchene has never made the "big time" among the NHL's upper echelon. But he suffered as part of many bad Avs clubs & that may have affected him.
Seattle had its brief moment in the sun. There's zero rivalry there for the Avs.
The Pacific is where our rivals will reside: Vancouver, Oilers, and Vegas. Utah will be interesting to watch tho. Nichushkin’s drama ‘knocked us out” of the playoffs the last two season, not Dallas or Seattle.
I'd like to throw out the Oilers, tired of all the " Mcdavid and Draisaitl are the best in the world " ! I'd take Nate, and Cale over those 2 everyday

In the central it is Dallas, and Winnipeg is going to have some animosity towards the Avs. Nashville is going to heat up if that team works. For me though it is always Vegas….and the only time they met Vegas tore the Avs apart. Wound hasn't healed, and the fact that they shit the bed in the next series against Montreal made it even worse
RIP, James Earl Jones. This one hurts the same way Carrie Fisher did, but man, what a great long life he had. Thanks for paying him a worthy tribute. 93 years is nothing to sneeze at. Rest well, good sir, and thank you. 🖤
